I did several weeks of this kind of work b4 adding weight back to my bar. Helped tremendously.

lightweight technique work, while a good thing, is so antithetical to the CrossFit ethos.

Or maybe it’s antithetical to my ethos (“can’t I just add more weight?”)

That said, I do know that practice does NOT make perfect.

“Practicing perfection makes perfect.”

Personally, I need the practice that only an unloaded bar will bring. Bar up – body down. Kind of impossible to practice the basic movement when under load.

Now to find the time to work snatch technique along with

double unders
muscle ups
handstands
mobility
running
bodyweight movements
and the usual oly lifting and WODs.
